According to the report of authorities, there was an accident that occurred on 22 May at Highway 21, in front of Iron Integrity gym in the U.S. This accident is of a truck that have filled with diesel which was rolled over and leaked diesel fuel which cause engine fires.
De Soto police officers said that this accident happened at 2:40 pm on 22 May 2023 in the United States. Some 2020–2023 Ram 2500 and some 2020–2022 Ram 3500 vehicles are included in the recall. They all feature 68RFE gearboxes and 6.7-liter Cummins diesel engines.
Police offers said that the driver was a 70-year-old man who driving a northbound 1989 Ford L8000 dump truck when he make a turn to avoid a collision the truck was imbalanced and rolled over the driver’s side. No one injury find in this accident but a lot of fuel leaked into a drainage ditch.
For two hours on Monday, May 22, Highway 21 between Highway 110 and Highway Y in De Soto was closed due to a dump truck accident in which the dump truck turned over and leaked diesel fuel.
The company was sad about this accident and says that it happens due to a combination of heat and pressure which makes leakage from the dipstick tube. And when fuel hits a hot part of the engine it automatically turns into fire which makes them a huge incident.
Fiat Chrysler’s Stellantis is still working on an issue of the truck which makes collision with heat and pressure. Owners may continue to use their trucks that is company claims, but they should get in touch with a dealer if a dashboard warning light appears.
The company says that there are a lot of other complaints and reports of fires being issued but the company wants to fix this issue and also give a warranty that there is no injury in any accident.
The De Soto Fire Department, De Soto Rural Fire Protection District, Valle Ambulance District, and the Jefferson County Hazmat Team all quickly responded to the incident.
